WRITTEN TEST:
There was 2 sessions for written test.
There were 55 questions in which 30 was from 1st session and rest from 2nd session.
1st session included sequence of fiqures,word patterns etc
2nd session included identifying incorrect sentences,arranging sentences,data interpretation etc.
The only problem you will face is time management. I found it difficult in answering passage questions because u wont have time reading it.
Technical Round: You will be alloted a panel in the beginning.
The questions were mostly from your project,basic technical knowledge etc.HR round was the same with usual questions.

@sarin: the interview was quite easy, he first asked me to solve an aptitude question,followed by a simple logic in c programming(1*1^1+2*2^2....=sum)and at last some queries from sql since i said that im strong in sql,answer confidently u will surely make up in the interview.. all the best

particularly this year they needed more people to fill the vacant left by the experienced..
the issue is regarding salary hike..experienced guys are now paid about 3.6pa but the same amount is being paid to the newly joined candidates. so they started to protest also appealed for hike in salary..

Hi,i am having exam on 3rd april at Chennai. What i would like to know is, wheather aptitude test and interview will be on consecutive days. Bcoz based on this we have to make arrangements for stay.
I'm going to take up the test on 3rd as well. A friend of mine who had 1 paper in history of arrears did get placed there. It's how much convincing we are in the hr round that decides things. As far as written is concerned I guess they're having upper & lower cut off.Merittrack conducted written in our campus when Infosys recruited us, the same thing happened then. The results of written would be updated on the same evening. Technical+hr round the next day & final results the day after that. All the best to all,hope we all get placed.

Got my hall ticket...the test is on April 3rd , this saturday. I applied on last saturday and i got the date for test so quickly. I can't believe myself. I got 83% in Xth and 93% in XII and 8/10 in college. I wish I would get selected . All the best for those who are going to write on saturday and those who have applied.
Tip: Those who haven't got the dates, write a mail to the CTS off campus team and u will get a reply frm them for sure :)

yup...i got selected...
technical was quite simple...she asked me which is my favorite subject..i said DBMS..she asked basic questions frm DBMS such as wat is RDBMS,name some DBMS other than RDBMS,different types of joins,outer join etc.
Then she asked some questions frm OOP...properties of OOP,wat is polymorphism,wat is function overloading,example of function overloading .
Then she asked me to explain my project(final yr.)
HR round was for formality only...first question was y cognizant?? after that some questions related to hobbies...dats it..!!
Dnt take tension..jst prepare da basics for technical...n b confident...!!!

hi friends i applied for cts offcampus on feb 26 but i didnt receive my hall ticket yet.I registered long back on feb 26th some of my friends who registered later during the mid march got the hall ticket and they have appeared for the exam as well.
It seems that for those candidates who have less than 70 aggregate and having regno starting with 210******** have not received the hall ticket yet.

To every one registered and not received call letter from cts.When it asks for degree mention Bachelors of Engineering and notBachelors of Computers..Remember your app id must be start like 4*****

hai everyone... i got selected in anna university offcampus in cognizant... for me cognizant gave the date of join on july5th... i confirmed it.. but now they called and said that according to your university you cannot join now and asked to drop that email which they mailed to us on june 25th... i'm very much depressed... will they call again or just leave... if anyone have an idea about this kindly inform...

Hey guys this is Akhil J John, and I had attended the off campus interview for Cognizant in Kerala last month through SHREDS for 2010 passouts.
I would like to tell u that I was selected amongst the 524 offers made.
I went through the aptitude,technical and the HR rounds and have received emails from Cognizant that I am selected. But I haven't yet received the Joining Letter or the DOJ which I may get soon.
So I have gathered some experiences while I went through this process of Off Campus Recruit.
And I would like to share my experiences with all of u on my blog.
